About Our Director

Jeb Wilkinson assumed the role of Director of the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in June of 2025. Wilkinson has served in agency leadership since June of 2024, when he was appointed to the role of Chief Deputy Director. Prior to joining DPOR, he served as Deputy Director of Workforce Programs for Gov. Glenn Youngkin.

Wilkinson has prior experience in both state and federal government. In December 2020, he retired as a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES) at the Pentagon. He served as the Chief Deputy Director at the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation for Governor Bob McDonnell.

A graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Wilkinson served as a Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) with the United States Navy from May 1985 to August 1990.
